Placing implants requires a longer process than other restorative procedures. Typically, you’ll need to see us a few times, and there may be several months between appointments to allow for healing time. Before your first procedure, we’ll assess the health of your gums and bones, ensuring that you have a healthy starting point. In your first appointment, your dentist will place the titanium implant post in the gums and align it with the jawbone. After that, the healing process will begin, and the post will attach to the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. From there, we can attach the crown (a false tooth) to the post to complete your implants.
